Supporting Healthcare in Ireland

The National Healthlink Project provides a web-based messaging service which allows the secure transmission of clinical patient information between Hospitals, Health Care Agencies and General Practitioners. The project has been in operation since 1995 and has developed considerably since that time to its current status as national messaging broker.

bullet The Electronic General Referral pilot is complete and all 7 hospitals are now live and accepting all referrals electronically. We are requesting that GPs send all referrals to these hospitals: Cork University Hospital, Kerry General, Mallow General, Bantry General, Mercy University Hospital, South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital and Tallaght Paediatrics exclusively electronically. bullet Following a successful pilot we are pleased to announce that the Northwest labs, Sligo and Letterkenny, have migrated to Healthlink messaging. We are inviting all GPs in the area to switch over, please contact us on 01 8825606 or info@healthlink.ie.

bullet The CareDoc pilot of out-of-hours reports has also competed and this service is live too. Again, this project is a migration from the local Southeast GPEL system.
